About DataTerra

Based in Mexico, focused on Latin America.

Public data exists. The challenge is the decision.

From Space to Soil

Buying land, planting a crop or installing solar panels in Latin America means deciding with scattered information: hard-to-access land registries, raw satellite data, official statistics buried in government portals. The data exists — but nobody brings it together for you.

DataTerra does exactly that: we cross satellite imagery, 50+ public data sources and AI to produce clear reports, scored 0-100 — delivered in hours, in your language. And when satellite isn't enough, our team flies drones on site.

Our method

Open, verifiable sources

Sentinel-2, NASA, land registries, official security statistics: every figure in our reports is sourced and dated — you can check it.

Data first, never a black box

The 0-100 score is a transparent aggregate per dimension. Notable events are highlighted, not hidden behind an opaque verdict.

A pre-screening, not a due diligence

Our reports catch red flags before you spend money. They don't replace a local lawyer or notary — they tell you whether it's worth hiring one.

Built for Latin America

Ejidos and RAN in Mexico, tradición y libertad in Colombia: we speak the local land language, in Spanish, English and French.

🌎 Coverage

Crop and solar reports: the whole world, same price everywhere. Land reports: Mexico (RAN, INEGI, SESNSP registries integrated). Drone: Mexico and Colombia. National registries are added country by country — wherever they exist, the report enriches automatically.

🇨🇭 Data sovereignty

DataTerra runs entirely on Swiss infrastructure operated by Infomaniak: your data, reports and payments are processed in Europe, in datacenters located in Switzerland and connected to the country's major Internet exchange points — including CIXP, CERN's exchange point in Geneva. Infomaniak powers its centres with renewable energy; its latest Geneva datacenter (D4), built under a park, recovers 100% of its servers' heat to warm the water and homes of the neighbourhood — the equivalent of 6,000 households. An ethical, sovereign cloud: your data stays yours.
