1. Data controller

DataTerra is a platform operated by a company incorporated under Swiss law, based in Geneva, acting as controller for data collected on dataterra.co. For any request about your data: via the Contact page.

2. Data we collect

Account: email and, if you provide them, name, company, phone. Requests: analysed geographic area (coordinates, polygon), report type, messages. Payment: processed by Stripe — we never store your card details. Technical: connection logs and display preferences.

3. Purposes

Delivering ordered reports and services, managing your account and client portal, invoicing, answering your requests, sending quote reminders (only if enabled for your account) and improving the service.

4. Legal bases

Contract performance (orders, deliveries), legitimate interest (security, improvement), consent (non-essential communications, audience measurement). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Sovereign hosting

Your data is hosted in Switzerland, in an ethical, sovereign cloud (Infomaniak). Data, reports and payments are processed in Europe.

6. Processors

Stripe (secure payment), our email provider (transactional messages), Google Tag Manager/Analytics (audience measurement) and an AI provider for drafting report summaries — only the data strictly needed for generation is transmitted, never your credentials.

7. Retention

Account: while active, then deletion on request. Reports and deliverables: availability period stated at order time; large files may be archived. Technical logs: limited duration for security purposes.

8. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection under the Swiss nFADP and the GDPR; ARCO rights for Mexican residents (LFPDPPP); habeas data for Colombian residents (Law 1581 of 2012). Exercise them via the Contact page — we reply within legal deadlines.

9. Security

Encryption in transit (HTTPS), strict access control to data (per-account isolation), monitored and backed-up infrastructure.

10. Changes

Any change to this policy is published on this page with its update date.
